Github add-on for XF2.... ?

I am just curious if anyone has seen or considered a github add-on for XF2. Something that would perhaps allow your members, with the proper permission, to upload files (just thinking this example) to a branch created as their username and control what they can and cannot do by their permission level?

It's a thought that hit me when I was talking to some programmers I am working with... that it would be so nice if they could just do stuff and upload it directly to our github in their own branch without messing up or touching anything else we do.

That's not really what is being asked for though.

We just have GitHub configured to send this forum messages when certain actions happen on our development repo. It's not really anything we can release as it does a very specific function that likely isn't relevant anywhere else.

Are you using the GitHub API?

Not quite no.

GitHub has a facility to send webhooks. We just have it configured for them to send some of those to a specific URL.

So technically it’s them communicating with us, rather than us communicating with them.

I think many communities would benefit from a git feed, even if it's just one way.
