XF 2.0 Gigantic Images

See below how do I make these smaller when people post to my forum ?

The image is massive.

Admin > Setup > Options > Attachments

In there you can set maximum dimensions. Images will automatically be resized to those dimensions.

I did this but it doesnt resize existing images which show as 3036 x 3036

No, it won't resize the existing images. Existing images would need to be re-uploaded.

After changing this attachment size and testing the photos are remaining at their normal size.

What exactly did you change? The option wouldn't be referred to as "Attachment size". You're looking for this option:



Setting it to 1280 x 1280 is probably reasonable. Again, it will only apply to new images uploaded.

If you want something to resize the images already posted, try this: https://www.xf2addons.com/resources/resize.32/

It works well, you do need ImageMagick and Imagick extensions installed on the server though
