What's a good place to get started? Is there some docs available?

It's the one area where XF lacks heavily.

I hope XF will go one step further and have well structured video tutorials on developing small add ons i.e. adding templates, notifications, animations, text boxes, interacting with the database, packaging your add on and updating it etc...

Ideally there would be beginner tutorials for complete n00bs to coding and then more advanced video tutorials for everyone else.
