XF 1.4 Full Friendly URLS

Hello,
I am hosted on GoDaddy and I am curious as to how I use Full Friendly URL's on my XenForo forums but I have no clue as to what i have to do to make this happen. Any help?

In most cases all you need to do is activate it in the ACP Options.

I tried just changing it and now I get a 404 error message because it tries to log me in but it cannot find the /login and I can no longer log in because of it.

Navigate directly to admin.php to log in and change it back.

I did. So how do I get this to work. I want to try and get this to work but I am unsure how to do that.

As that page states, ensure the correct .htaccess file is in place.

If it is, it requires server configuration. Contact your host.

Which HTAccess file should I use for this?

The default one which comes with the software.

If you don't have one, rename htaccess.txt.

Well I have a HTAccess file but what am I missing that will allow it to work properly?

Edit: Do I just need to rename "htaccess.txt" to be ".htaccess"
