I know I need to add some code to the htaccess file for this to work but I do not know what is needed, I have this in there right now and still not working.

This htaccess is in the root subdirectory I have forums installed, not on the actually domin root.

please advise.

I have replied to your ticket.

If the .htaccess file is in place and they're not working, server changes would be required.
Your host or sysadmin will be able to assist.

That assumes you have an Apache server.
Other servers require different solutions.

.htaccess affects subdirectories so shouldn’t be a problem if it’s in root and your forum is in subdirectory. However you say htaccess, note that it should be .htaccess. The dot is crucial.
