    Upgrade System
The following errors occurred while verifying that your server can run XenForo:
    • All directories under /home/.../public_html/forum/data must be writable. Please change the permissions on these directories to be world writable (chmod 0777).
Problem is that it's a directory added by an add-on and it's not allowing me to edit it's permissions or delete it. That and I don't have root access for the moment. Possible to suppress this check in the install process given that the rest of the directories are set correctly?

You could temporarily move the add-on folder so you can run the upgrade, then move it back.

Tried that. It copied it to the other location and left the orig there. Won't let me adjust the permissions or delete it.

If you can't change the permissions on it, then it needs to be changed by your web server user (via code) or by your host (via root). Your host may be the easiest option here.

You may want to report that to the add-on developer though.

The add-on's probably fixed by now but I'll pass it along.

    Will wait on root.

    Thanks guys.

That got fixed and the upgrade from 1.1.2 - 1.4, along with the upgrades to the add-on's, was comically easy from there.
