Forum Copilot Open Source Mobile App - Open Source Mobile App for xenForo Platform

Forum Copilot is an open-source mobile app integration for XenForo.

It allows XenForo forums to work with the official Forum Copilot mobile app on iOS and Android, giving communities a native mobile experience for browsing forums, reading threads, posting replies, conversations, alerts, and push notifications.

For forum owners who want more control, Forum Copilot has also released an open-source standalone XenForo app template on GitHub. This template is designed for building a...

Does it have native sharing?

eg, i'm in my phone, i'm looking at a picture, i click the share < icon, i see facebook, instagram, email, etc,. Do i see my forum there?

Plugin couldn't register - no API key populated - so I had to force a password reset for my account on forumcopilot.com to access the Console.

Console indicated a Cloudflare error, but I couldn't see what on Cloudflare was preventing it connecting and there's no mention of forumcopilot.php in the logs as far as I can see. Once I completely disabled Cloudflare I was able to register the site, and the API key is now populated in the addon settings, so I have turned Cloudflare back on again and it seems to still be working.

Only issue now is I can't access https://www.forumcopilot.com/console (page loads then immediately goes blank) and can now only access the console using the link in the plugin settings. Not a problem but you might want to look at that.

edit: spoke too soon

edit: fount it

edit: Added an IP Access Rule under the Cloudflare Security>WAF>Tools options to allow the source IP for now, but that's not ideal

@thumped thanks - I have just fixed the page at https://www.forumcopilot.com/console

I am going to send you a DM to follow up the CloudFlare issue. Are you able to install our app and connect to your forum, and receive push notifications?
I'm connected but I couldn't log in at first as it looks like the 2FA email confirmation isn't being sent; I used the authenticator app code instead and it's all good.

Under Forum Settings, I presume the Delete Account option just removes the authentication to that forum from the Forum Copilot app?

that is more for Apple compliance, it doesn't really do anything if you click on it. It just says to contact the forum owner. :)

I installed it and got the verification email, clicked it and got the "Verification Successful!
Your site has been verified successfully. You can now continue to edit your site settings." message.

However when I click on Continue to Site Settings I get the error of "Failed to load site: Unauthorized'

Thanks for reporting this issue. I believe the issue is fixed now. Please click the same link again.

Could you please clarify why we are receiving what appears to be unsolicited emails regarding this add-on/product? We don’t recall signing up for this or providing any information connected to our XF license.

We would also appreciate it if you could explain how our contact details were obtained.

I thought the exact same thing yesterday when I received this same email.

@forumcopilot We would be grateful if you could respond to our inquiry above. Information used to send those advertisement emails was not public information. Therefore, we would like to know how this information was leaked. Did you buy this data from someone? Did you collect data from another vendor who obtained contact / license data? The information used in our case was out of date, so the assumption is that data was bought or obtained from another 3rd party. We just want some clarity... please.

A member of our team was also contacted by this user without consent. He asked for the source of his contact information but he hasn't received a response yet:

It's really disappointing to see the addon is being advertised through invasive, unsolicited emails. That's a very unprofessional way.

Thank you for sharing this information. Based on our current understanding, it appears that the contact information in question was most likely disclosed by a third-party service or individual that had previously been provided with license validation details. At this time, we do not believe there is any indication of a data leak originating from XenForo itself, particularly as the information involved appears to have been outdated and no longer valid.

As the individual contacted is a resident of the European Union, we are also reviewing the matter from a GDPR compliance perspective, including considerations surrounding consent and opt-in requirements related to marketing communications.

If anyone wants to find out more about the developer here is some information about the owner:
According to Google Play, MoleCorp Esports (Spain) is responsible for the mobile app:

Thank you so much for this. I'm not sure what can be done, but we will try.

@forumcopilot Cleary you are reading these posts of concern, but you offer no public response to the issues raised?
