Unless I'm missing something, I don't currently see a way for an admin to set a thread manually to notify all members. For example, we need to do a site-wide announcement and want to make sure that everyone is at least aware of the post and hopefully reads it.
Ideally I would be able to edit the thread and after clicking a button, it gets added into the Alerts dropdown for users. Simple enough?
So my question is two parts.. 1) am I missing something / is this already available and 2) anyone happen to have a direction on how to add alerts before I go tearing through code?
