XF 1.2 Watched Thread Notification Email issue

I was reviewing a rejected email, and compared the email address against the user's profile. The email addresses didn't match.

The particular "watched thread" is a bit old. Started when the site was vb3x. There was an added post today and the watched-notification was sent to an old email address that was no longer in the respective user's profile.

I thought to ask if the user was forwarding his gmail to another invalid email address, but thought I'd check here first to see if there is something else I should check.

Emails send by the board will always use the email address in the user's profile.
