Force users to login with email?

Is there a way to disable username based login and use only email addresses? I feel like I've seen this option somewhere but now I can't find it.

You'll need an add-on to change this, but I do not believe I've seen one.

If anyone is aware of the addon name I'd love to know. I spent about 30 mins googling before posting. Haven't found it.

XF 1.2 have option for disable login with username ?

i want enable login with email only. because XF show username at Board Name. it not secure for me.
You would have to modify the code (or create an addon to that effect):

library/XenForo/Model/User.php

Search for "validateAuthentication".

Would be great to have an add-on sometime from somebody though, since not everyone is proficient enough to even begin touching PHP I'm sure.
