Snog submitted a new resource:

Force HTTPS Images - Forces secure image attachments

A little add-on that forces users to only attach images that come from a secure connection.

If there is an image being attached (using View attachment 153407 ) to a post that is not from an HTTPS connection, an error is displayed:

This is especially useful of you are not using the XenForo proxy images option but want to retain the green lock icon in your threads.

Great, @Snog can add functionality also choose to ignore https sourced images from the proxy process and instead let them be displayed from their origin location? Ignore https images from Proxy Images option.

The whole point of this add-on is that it's meant for people that do not want to run the proxy system. So, no options involving the proxy system will be added.

That is what the picture icon does in the editor. It creates the IMG BB Code. So, yes. That is what this add-on checks for.

This does nothing to old posts and does nothing to a post's display. It only checks new posts and new threads before they are actually created.

If there is no "http" or "https" in the image url there is no way to tell if it is secure or not.

I'll consider looking for "https" and if it's not there throw the error.

No, they have never been checked in the preview. They are only checked when the post is made.
