Force HTTPS Images - Forces users to use HTTPS images

This add-on forces users to only attach images that come from a secure, HTTPS connection.

If there is an image being attached (using View attachment 169026 - IMG BB Code) that is not from an HTTPS connection, an error is displayed:

View attachment 169027

View attachment 169028

View attachment 169029

This is especially useful if you are not using the XenForo proxy images option but want to retain the green lock icon in your threads.

Is there any plans for 2.3 compatibility?

Is there a compelling reason not to use the built in proxy images if the link doesn't use https? That's what we do and it works great. Fixes the broken green checkmark and doesn't inconvenience the user.

I check the proxy logs though and almost nothing shows up... almost everything has switched to https now a days.

Yeah I thought the same. I am assisting in managing the forums for a company and seen they had this addon, and was not sure why they have this addon still.

If you believe it's not needed then fair enough! Just want to ensure everything goes smooth for our next 2.3 update, thank you for your reply

The built in system has worked well, I think it should do everything you need. We don't even proxy the links, just the images.
