Food Fantasia

While Mike is away from home, working hard on XF, I took the opportunity to cook some things he doesn't like...

Fishcakes.webp

Salmon fishcakes drizzled with lemon mayonnaise, roasted tomatoes, caramelised red onion, and salad with balsamic dressing.

Mike doesn't like fish or tomatoes :p

(P.S. This is the first time I've uploaded a file here - I like how it works!)

Hi Evalyn, I hope you are not missing Mike too much... we are all very grateful for the sacrifices that the families of the Devs have had to make along with the Dev's themselves!

That looks really delicious!!!!! :D Salmon is my fave thing in the whole world and your salmon cakes look very nice, so do the tomatoes! My hubby won't eat cherry tomatoes, so I can relate to that :p

Okay this is probably going to lose me my man card, yes that is a salad kids, but what the heck it's a roughly torn salad in a dirty bowl. Sorry to all the guys reading for their fix of bloke cooking 101, green stuff is sometimes good ... if there's beer involved.

Pan fried salmon with a green salad ... preferred beverage a kiwi Sav blanc, chilled but not frozen.

no, it's bed time for me now, I don't really want to eat just before I go to sleep.

Oh well all the more eating opportunities tomorrow then :D

ps.. I didn't eat the day before either... good sleep will do wonders :)

Go..get some rest!

Friday night last night, and I cooked for the first time in a week! I enjoyed it immensely too, hand kneaded the dough just to do something tactile, it felt wonderful after the insane computing week!

Peppers chicken basil...mmmmmmm nom nom nom

Thanks, as I remember it was, a double bonus to really enjoying cooking. I am tempted to go back to it full time !

I know what you mean, I was recently thinking the same thing... about 3months ago, I almost bought a little Italian place with a partner, but at the last moment he had a change of plans.

In one way I am pretty happy it didn't go ahead, would never have found xenforo! lol, ....and it is very easy when you are out of hospitality to forget how much bloody hard work it is! lol

Please show us more of your great cooking when next you are inspired to cook Jerry!
