Food Fantasia

I had a most delicious lunch today.

There wasn't that much left in the fridge and I was pushed for time so I ended up making a bombay potato Swedish aniseed flatbread wrap.

Sounds disgusting but it was delicious :D

LOL it does sound unusual :p Glad you enjoyed it! :D

Can I ask? Do none of you ever eat simple meals that takes 5 minutes to cook. Things like Spaghetti on toast, Ravioli on toast, or Beans on toast?

Just curious? Because you all seem to eat like you permanently live in a 5 star restaurant?

Lol, I think we all just enjoy cooking nice food and eating well. :) But, I do eat a cheese sandwich or marmite on toast every once in a while... ;)

No... well sometimes, occassionally we might have grilled cheese sandwiches, eggs on toast or baked beans on toast, but canned spaghetti is an abomination :p

personally, I adore cooking, as does my hubby, so we do eat well I have to say!

I'm pretty pissed off that I bought a bunch of apricots and half have gone soft on me. I'm thinking of whipping up some type of sugarless preserve that would get eaten up within a few days or make some kind of compote with it or "juice" them. Blargh.

Is that the Indian flat bread that asks for a yeastless dough to be flattened out, a chunk of mashed potato put in the middle, wrapped up and then rolled out, leaving a thin layer of potato between two dough halves?

Ravioli on toast  Quick someone get this man a Jamie Oliver cookbook stat!

Actually a lot of so called "up market food" is very quick to prepare and/or cook, ergo making it a better proposition than stuff out of a can or packet that you have no ingrediant control over. Though I don't mind a baked beans on toast of a Sunday.
