I deleted the file from the server and uploaded the version from 2.1.10 patch 2 and re-ran the file health check.
Still reports that file as having unexpected contents.
It's 1 byte big.
Anyone know what's going on? Thanks

My guess is due to a plugin. Or from the xenforo language file. Something like this happened to me. I changed the Xenforo language file. File health check error over.

Especially check the plugins and language files you have uploaded to the forum. Are there any problems with their code? Or get the plugins from very reliable people.

plugins are very important. The vulnerability does not exist in xenforo. But it can be thanks to the plugin or language file.

Thanks for the reply. I haven't touched the language file.
The addons I'm using are
  • Bookmarks Essentials
  • Conversation Essentials
  • Moderator Essentials
  • Showcase
  • Trending Content
  • User Essentials
So none of the ones you're using. I'm using these addons on AVForums and I'm not getting the same error there.

It won't be an add-on issue.

My hunch would be it's happening during transfer of the file. Make sure your FTP client is transferring in binary mode (rather than auto or ASCII).
