As designed Field last_activity is not getting updated correctly

The field last_activity in xf_user table is not getting updated correctly (?).

When an user reply or simply visit the website that field is not changing, only on login. Is this a bug or not?

Nope.

The session activity details are stored in the xf_session_activity table until such a time that the session has finished, in which case that is when the last_activity value is updated.

And usually how much time does it takes? Because as I can see in \XF\Cron\Trophy (and other classes) there is a last_activity check to get only active users, does it work correctly?
