As designed Featured Resource Carousel not displayed when applying filter

If you apply a filter to the Resource list, the Featured Resource Carousel is not displayed. Is this a bug?

I am not filtering by category (Category is set to Any). If I change Sort to anything other than Title > Ascending, featured resources are not shown.

@Brogan were you able to repro this? I can repro it on Xenforo Community's Resources - just change the sort order and featured resources dissappears with just sorting, not filtering. Thanks.

This is deliberate, and it's always been that way (including v1).

I seem to recall the logic being that, if you’re filtering or sorting on different options then you’re likely no longer looking for a general overview of resources and so the list of featured resources is no longer relevant. In addition, the implication that those resources may also be filtered by the same criteria could be misleading.
