    I would also like to change the default XF favicon towards my custom favicon.

    Is this somewhere in ACP or just at the server ?
    How to do this ?

    Do yo have any idea which software I can use to open the .ico file ?
    Adobe Fireworks does not open that file-type...:rolleyes:

    Many thanks!

    I can see the favicon at your page now.
    Is it a caching issue ?

    Caching issues are common with favicons. But you can usually make it work by adding the head code from Brogan's link. Here are the same instructions but more explicit to XenForo:

    The favicon always gets cached by the browser (even if you don't have one...) and thats why you are not seeing the favicon after uploading it to the forum root..

    upload the favicon to the site's root directory is more than enough and if you want to see the changes, clear your browser's cache ;)

    Does it have to be saved under "favicon.ico"?

    Itcan have a different name if the is a link in the page head, however that seems a bit pointless.

    <linkrel="shortcut icon"href="/favicon.ico">
