As designed External URL

Makes sense actually. The first two have no way to describe the protocol that should be used to access the resource. Could be FTP or anything else entirely.

The last two obviously state it's HTTP, and #3 it's inferred because it's the www subdomain. So I personally wouldn't call this a bug at all, I'd tell you to add in the http://. ;) But, that's me. No idea what K&M think.

Yeah, I don't expect a real fix, I expect the phrase under it to be edited to "example: http://lol.com" :)

If I want to enter my site into the External URL textbox, I have some ways of typing it in the textfield:
  1. mercenarydesign.com.au/lol/damnlol --> It says "Please enter a valid URL.", this URL is valid, isn't it?
  2. lol.mercenarydesign.com.au/damnlol --> Same error as above
  3. www.mercenarydesign.com.au/lol/damnlol
  4. http://mercenarydesign.com.au/lol/damnlol
  5. http://www.mercenarydesign.com.au/lol/damnlol
With the other 3 it's okay
url 1 & 2 aren't valid, because the shema is missing or they don't have www, which indicates a "standard url" (don't know how to call it^^);)
