Yes @Mike , i see. links nofollow only what is noopener this? I thought this was not a big deal for Google. Am I wrong?

Did this revert back recently? On multiple XF 2.0.9 and 2.0.10 forums with all add-ons disabled I'm not seeing rel="nofollow noopener" on external links. E.g. even on this forum:



Did I miss the memo or is this a bug? Is this configurable somewhere?

Have the behavior changed in XF 2.1.0 beta 6 ?
I can't see rel="nofollow" in my testforum on external links. I tried from admin and registered account. Or is there a setting that i am missing?

Links from registered users have the nofollow tag. But if you use the unfurl link with preview the tag is missing for all usergroups and all external links are dofollow.
I think that's a bug and it should be solved.

Furthermore in my opinion it is not acceptable that staff external links are dofollow by default. In a community with many moderators there is to less control about external links. We need a setting that prevent dofollow external links by default for staff.

I noticed in XF2.1 links from custom BB Code also have only rel="noopener" without nofollow
