Extending XenForo_Template_FileHandler

I want to extend XenForo_Template_FileHandler::__construct()

I could not get it to work with the load_class event, the hint "XenForo_Template_FileHandler" would not work.

Is there another event I could listen to, so I could hook in ? Thank you so much !

Not possible with the 'XenForo' way as the class proxy only occurs when the class is resolved via XenForo_Application::resolveDynamicClass() method.
But what you can do is use this third party 'core' add-on that can port into virtually any class: https://github.com/Yoskaldyr/cmf_core/

Thanks for explaining exactly how the proxy system works. I took a short look at the addon and its idea is very nice.
