Exclude node from What's New/Mark RSS as read

I've got a couple of RSS feeds running on a forum, but they are heavily cluttering the What's New page. Is there any way of preventing a node from populating the What's New page, or the RSS feed threads being posted as read?

This has been requested before. There is currently no option to exclude forums from the What's New page.

I also have one RSS newsfeed on forum and I must turn off notification about new and recent post from that node (where is rss newsfeed) from Sidebar!?

Forums can be excluded from the new posts page via the node options.

This is beautiful. Especially when you have RSS feeds that post a ton, spamming the place. Now members won't get their notifications and will actually see the stuff they believe is more important.
