XF 1.4 Error after import from vbulletin during search index rebuild

I am currently importing a forum from vbulletin. All went well until I rebuilt the search index and got this errR. can anyone please help?

I think that usually relates to MySQL server configuration and these two values being exceeded:

wait_timeout
max_allowed_packet

You would likely need to increase the values of these settings and try again.
