XF 1.2 Embeded videos not showing in firefox....

Just recently migrated from vb4. Very happy with the leap I might add, :)

It may be a problem from my end but I am currently experiencing problems with the videos showing up from firefox. They seem to work in all other browsers but not that one.

It is an across the site issue so it isn't a flash plug in on my computer or anything like that I don't think.

I am running OS X but users running windows are also having the problem.

Here is a link where a member running a pc has the problem too. At first I thought it was because I am in mac land...

Anyone have any pointers as to how I can solve this issue?

Another thing is the videos that were already posted pre-migration, They are broken becuase the bb code is different.

Can I add them to the sites bb code in the admincp adn how would I do it?

Here is an example of what I can talking about in that department.

OK, now that you have edited your post, I see that you are using YouTube. :)

This add-on will help you convert the old vBulletin type code to XenForo code.

Thanks! I'll give that a try.

The BBCODE hasn't been entered correctly. Is this from a vB import? The media BBCODE is different, so you'll have to change them to the xenForo version.

I probably should have supplied that piece of info with my op... Yea, It is a vb4 import....

Thanks for the link. What an awesome resource that is.. I finally got around to dealing with this and wow that was awesome and easy! :)

I still have to figure out why they are not showing in firefox now though.

Any ideas in that department? It is happening to some folks but not others apparently.

I am wondering if it is an OS X issue though because I am running a mac.

Here is a link where people start to talk about it...

That's one to many steps.

I have a few add ons and the advanced search but it has done this since the software was first installed before and mods or even the style templates.

Maybe I should contact my webhost with the error?

I haven't listened to/seen that album in 15 years BTW, lol :)

I just noticed that your site is using https (since you brought up your host) and did a quick Google search.

Assuming you have not change the code and are using the most up to date version of XenForo (again, I do not have admin access to check anything), it is likely this error has to do with your site using an improperly configured SSL Certificate or configuration (from what I gather from the error).

I've installed XenForo with https before and never encountered this error myself.

If you're using HTTPS on the site, you likely need to change the BB code media site embed HTML to use HTTPS as well.
Mike I have another site running https and they have no problem with the current bb code.

I'm not doubting you, as I believe you would know (obviously). I'm just wondering why it would sometimes happen and sometimes not?!

Alright. I really don't think it is improperly configured though, it was installed professionally, not by me..

I will give that a try right now. Do you do this?

Admincp > Home > BB Code Media Sites > add https to all the options (youtube, etc....) ?

I'm had the same problem here on my site I just noticed. First the youtube links did not get converted from the VIDEO bb code under vB (will take care of that later) but I noticed that when I add new youtube links, they do not show up in FF. In IE, yes. I have changes the BB code links to all https and I also run https. But I had only changed this under "site URL", which did nothing. You also have to change it in the Embed HTML. Just for anyone else experiencing this problem.
