Email bounces for a user pending email validation aren't processed

If a user registers with an invalid email address the automatic bounce handler will never process their email if it bounces. Not sure if this behavior is desired, but if their validation email bounces I can't see any reason against marking their account as bounced and forcing them to change their email rather than allowing them to keep requesting it be resent without realizing their email address was entered incorrectly

I'm not sure if this is as-designed, but it certainly seems like a bug to me. If a user changes their email address and the confirmation email bounces, their account is not placed in the bounced state. Instead, they're left in the awaiting email confirmation (from edit) state.

The bounces are being logged in the bounce log, as a hard bounce, but the state is not being changed to email bounced.

So, currently, this user can keep on requesting the confirmation email be resent over and over again and XF will just keep sending them, despite the fact that they'll never get there.

Yeah, looks like it. Unfortunate they don't seem to think it's an issue, even if someone can "trivially" set their status back to "email_change" and be able to receive emails it will at least give them a notice that they are not able to receive an email for some reason so they don't keep trying to resend the verification email
