Editing CSS

Once 1.1 comes out, I'm planning on rewriting a lot of the CSS to make a custom design. I have firebug and dragonfly but I'm having trouble finding which CSS template contains the specific script. Is my best option to copy paste all of the CSS into one text document?

You may find that causes issues when upgrading as it will be more work to identify changes in the default templates.

I know of at least one other member here who has done that though, I'll see if I can find the thread.
