Hello,
is there a possibility to set the edited posts to be displayed as new?

Greetings,
Tealk

This has nothing to do with important.
I have a forum in which applications are written and if they are not written according to the template, the application will be edit. Then it can happen that one overlooks this.

that's the problem because many users dont reply to the thread that they have edit the first post :'(
So you'd like a notice sent to people ....... "The post you watching has been changed". Makes sense.
Forums have thread watching not post watching.

Maybe the Resource addon would help ?
To change the Resource ... I think you need to upload a new version .... thus triggering an alert.

One option might be to ask an addon maker to extend their addon to accomplish what you want.

I don't quite understand what you're saying to me.
The resource manager supports VERSIONS.
If a user made a resource, and then wanted to change it, they would have to change the version, and people watching the resource would be notified of the change.

I'm not sure exactly how this specific forum is used beyond applications being written (presumably in the first post?) One possible solution could be to disallow the editing of posts. Then if an application needs to be changed, it could be copied and pasted into a new post in that thread and then edited there. You will then get the alert that you require with edited applications.

@Martok
then I have the application x times in the thread. Many users process their application over 10 times.
actual it is so that the first post is the application
Yes, I understand that you might have multiple versions of an application. You would only need to deal with the latest posted version of the application though (plus the previous versions would give you an easy-to-see history of that application as it has changed if that is required in the future).

I think what you are actually looking for is the thread to be marked as "Updated" not new when the first post is edited. Why not put it in the suggestions forum as it's actually not a bad idea.
