Add-on Edit date (paid)

I will be importing some content to the Resource Manager. I don't mind doing it manually as there will not be a huge number of items.
But I don't want to lose the original dates of these items contributed by my users.
I am not a database geek.

Can someone do an addon so I can tweak the date of each item please?

If you are importing it, why not just have the date you want it to be set in the source data you are importing?

Shawn I do not know how to import it really. I thought I would have to copy each item manually - text and pictures.
I can do that, and do each logged in as the user. But I can't change the dates to match the originals.

Actually, I'd be interested in this as well but for post dates. I recently found an ages old backup of our site that was a pre-cursor to using forums and most of it is hand-coded HTML pages so if I create a new post with that data I'd like to change the date of the post accordingly.

Thank you Henrik that solution looks very promising.
i also want to feed in archives from an email list which this would help with.
