Sorry for the late response... I'm sorting out my watched threads now, shouldn't happen again.

You can add this to your extra.less to hide the entire bar (buttons + title) on the forum list:

[data-template="forum_list"] .p-title {
    display: none;
}

Or if you want to keep your title and hide those buttons:

[data-template="forum_list"] .p-title-pageAction {
    display: none;
}

Support was quick to fix this one for me - in case anyone else wants to do the same...

Open xb_sidebar_login, find and remove:

autofocus="autofocus"
