Earthquake Series

The earth under Southern California has been rather stable the past 18 years, however, it's been shaking for the past few hours. It started with a small 3.6 then climbed to a 5.1 followed by another 3.4 and lots of smaller after quakes. In fact, as I am typing this then Caltech is announcing 20 registered aftershocks.

All are shallow but no known rupture.

I think it's been unstable for more than 18 years... One of my forum members claim the 5.1 was mapped directly under his block.
