XF 2.2 Dynamically inserting a view/template without a form?

Hey there!

Is there a way to dynamically insert a view (or template) without a form?

I know that with a form, you can tell it to replace or append a target once the user has submitted the form. But what I want is to use the insert function without a form but with new data - is that possible? I imagine ajax could help?
