Cannot reproduce Double Alerts

I sometime receive double alerts for the same thread, especially watch threads.
Lets see if others are facing the same bug?!

I can think of two or three reasons why this could happen:

1. You visit the thread and there is a reply before you view the alerts.
2. The alerts aren't actually the same (may be same text, but may link to different parts of the thread)
3. Multiple types of alerts on the same thread.

What about someone quoting you. and then 2 min later deleting the post ?
I wouldn't expect that alerts are "removed" once they no longer apply.

If you like someone's post and later unlike it doesn't alert the other member of the liked post (have tested it)
So I'm sure it works the same way if a quoted post is deleted the alert is removed and the other member (which the quote posted) doesn't get the alert.

Probably depends on timing.

Well, that would be as its designed, because you get a single alert until you view the thread. Once you view the thread, you are open to getting more alerts.

so far i can't I cannot reproduce this bug sorry
Though, I just notice that if a mod merges a thread to your watch thread you don't get alert for that
