XF 2.1 Display some foprum information on external site

Hello,


i wanna do this. my forum is located on a subdomain forum.mysite.com

What i want is to create a widget i can display on my main site: http://mysite.com

And to update it dinamycally


What and how to do this ?

I suppose it should be done using REST API. Because they are both on different servewrs.

But i would if possible get some ideas or existing example.
