How to disable user signatures?

The ability to edit a signature is permission controlled.

Revoke it for the users/groups you don't want to have that ability.

The Batch Update Users function can be used to mass remove existing signatures, or for individual users, edit their profile in the ACP.

An "add-on" is not required.

Functionality already exists to prevent signatures and remove existing ones.

The nice thing with the add-on I suggested is that members can still have a signature show in their Profile.

Except that is not what the user requested as that does not disable signatures. Please avoid suggesting something that is not what the user asked for and is unnecessary.
