As designed Disable BBCode auto-closing

I'm not sure if that should be a suggestion or if it's a bug since I can't find a "toggle bbcode" button on froala.
Right now, here on XF, the editor auto-closes opened tags on post / preview / toggling in a pretty inconsistent way. It could break the entire post layout when using img, spoiler, quote or url tags:

Conversely, tags that are left open can also entirely break stuff - likely the entire page if we're not careful.

So, this is as designed and no plans to make any changes here.

That might be true, but in this case, only closed tags should be rendered or malformed ones either removed or at least not rendered aswell, as in the first two examples. The url and image tag get removed in that case already and that should be enough imho to prevent non-closed tags from breaking pages.
