XF 1.5 Direct upgrade from old 1.5.0 to 2.1.0

Just a question, is it possible to make a direct upgrade from an old version XF 1.5.0 to 2.1.0?

Is it better or necessary to update first to the current version 1.5.23 (may be to prevent errors in the upgrade process?)

Or no problem at all?

No problem. You can always upgrade from one version to any newer version.

I think we even did a 1.0.0 to 2.0.0 test at some point which worked fine

Speaking of testing. The only way to know for sure it will work ok for you is to do it in a test copy of your installation first. And of course take a full back up.
