To create individual icons per desired node follow these instructions below. Make sure you have the addon TH (Nodes) installed

1.) Go to: AdminCP > Appearance > Templates > and search for the "extra.less" file
Open the file and add this code (Call it anything you want. In the example here, I called it ".iconx" )...

yes the addon is actually by @ThemeHouse what I posted is a more defined guide in how to apply individual nodes and not get the blurred effect.

I noticed one thing though. If you wanted to replace .iconx with say the node class of the forum, your guide would no longer absolutely need TH Nodes. TH Nodes is more of a luxury than a need in this respect, the XenForo default classes on nodes will do what you need if you are willing to get into CSS in the first place.

Thank you for that suggestion @Mike Creuzer you are right. I'll still keep this guide as is and add option 2 sometime tomorrow

I'm going to make an update to this guide and release it on 10-24-18. The guide will include a node icon guide without use of (TH Nodes) even though I will keep the (TH Nodes) as an option.
