XF 2.1 Difference between Node and Forum's API

As I think I already wrote, I'm creating the app of my community.
I'm at the stage of creating the forum part.
Well, forum and Node both are same?
I think they aren't.
I want to know how to get all forum list (not specific forum, i mean the entire forumlist) using API. now, I can get only 1 specified forum using them.
But I need the API of all forum list.
The developer wants to get all forum list so I can show them in screen. But he can't find suitable API.
With current API he can get only specified forum data.
