Not a bug Deleting a node or thread

Hello to all,

I did some tests to check if by deleting a node via admincp or by deleting a thread, if the posts were deleted too. I noticed that those related to the deleted discussions, remain in the table xf_post.

I would like to understand why we keep data that are no longer used.

Both deleting a thread and deleting a forum will remove the pertinent posts from the database. The latter is kicked to the job queue for performance reasons, so it may not happen immediately. If you're seeing different behavior, it'd be worth testing with all add-ons disabled or posting in the troubleshooting forum for support.
