Great release!

This makes digests problematic to use:
Change: Digest is now sent no earlier than 12 noon and no later than 19 (server time)

The objective makes sense, but my server is on Europe time, while my members are in the US. Which means digests are sent between 4AM and 11AM in the morning. Please add a setting or revert this change.

It is not possible to add a setting as the cron job runtime cannot be controlled that way. You should change the time zone - I’m not sure if it runs on the actual server time zone or the XF guest time zone.

the daily stats now have Number of bounces, but no Bounce Rate, Complaint Rate yet. Will it take some time for it to show up or can I trigger it somehow?

I don't know, the API returned data for me and I don't know if anything might be blocking it for you. Make sure the API token can access the data.

  2. Feature: Reworked maximum outbound email to include configurable unit and multiplier
  3. Feature: Validate user email address via action drop-down
  4. Feature: Add "mailbox is disabled" to the list of XenForo's "invalid mailbox strings"
  5. Change: Improve ability to print email validation results in certain contexts
  6. Fix: Remove dependency on bounceEmailAddress in the AdminCP
Maybe I'm not looking in the right places for some of them. But I wonder if there is anything wrong with the package?

I have not been able to check all changes. For example I have not received a complaint yet, so I don't know if this is now processed as hard bounce.

According to my records, you have not downloaded v5.3.0b1 with either of your two licenses, which probably goes some ways towards explaining this discrepancy :)

Remember; Beta versions need to be chosen explicitly the same way you do when downloading XenForo itself:

OK. Correct package now and we have amazing new functionality. :)

In Daily statistics I can select Bounce Rate, Bounces and Complaint Rate. However, no data is shown while there are bounces in the bounce log.
SNS bounce messages are coming trough the API. Are these stats sent in a different manner or to a different URL?
If you have any tips on what to filter on in CloudFlare then this would be helpful.

Mailbox does not exist works like a charm. Thank you! This saves a lot of daily work.
I'm hoping to see the other frequent hard bounces implemented as well. Especially the gmail mailbox inactive bounce I get many times a day:

Update highlights​

The Whoopsie Daisy is a special flower which only blooms when a developer makes a really basic mistake, such as hiding the settings of one of the flagship features in the "Debug Options" settings group, making them inaccessible to normal users.

This version fixes an issue preventing you from actually filling in the API credentials for the AWS integration with the "Daily Stats" feature.

Does this version have a function / possibility to re-validate email addresses? I do not see a setting in validation criteria to re-validate users that have already been validated.

I have validated all email addresses and want to re-validate with a different validator service. There are quite a lot of domains or validation statuses that are not handled well by one validator service, but can be handled by another validation service. Including UNKNOWN and RISKY. While all addresses are already validated, bounce rate is still way too high. SES would still suspend service for breach of bounce rate limits. Which defies the purpose of validating all email addresses.

If it is possible to re-validate /re-check in bulk, please explain how.
If its not possible, please consider to add this.

Thats a useful feature for revalidating single users, but I need to revalidate tens of thousands.

Is there any way to do so?
