XF 2.0 DB too large: is it safe to empty xf_search_index table?

Hi,

I need to reduce the size of my xF database urgently due to host restrictions. I noticed the xf_search_index table is very big ~490Mb. Can I simply empty or truncate it or will things break? I am not using Elasticsearch. It's OK if search doesn't work in the forum after that.

You can safely do that, yes. Yes, search will not work. You need to change hosting. I can help you put it on your own Linode or such if you want... so you have no such issues then.
