Hello forum , is it possible to load full DB to RAM ? ( Our DB close to 1g )
Would it be beneficial for performance?

Looks like not a good idea , as it tricky with backing up date .
Will try query_cache for MySQL

Something else that will also help with speed which I am sure you already know is run your mySQL server on a SSD drive.

Using stock mySQL or something better like Percona or MariaDB?

You would be better to switch to either Percona or MariaDB. I've heard Percona is better but I'm no server guru I know my host uses it. That will make things faster from a SQL standpoint. Percona is just a drop in replacement for mySQL. Again others can advise better than me on that though.
