XF 1.1 Database size twice what vb one was?

Hello all,

Not a major issue, but after I imported my vb4 forums to xenforo, I noticed that the xenforo db size is double what the vb4 one was.

Is that just the way it is, or do I need to do something to the db now what I have my forums all imported and up and running?

Any thoughts appreciated

It's probably the search index. XF duplicates post records in the database for the search engine, unlike vB.

Mine doubled too. There was a thread about this a while ago. There are no problems as such, other than from having a database twice the size (double the storage for backups, double the time for backups, possibly hitting limits with shared hosting etc).
