XF 1.5 Database error

When someone tries to go on the forum, it displays:

An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later.

whats wrong?

What is the URL of the site having the problem?

It seems to be intermittent - the site on your license seemed to be working fine. But I just checked again and I got the error.

The error is being reported as:

An unexpected database error occurred. Please try again later.
<!-- Too many connections -->

Part of the error is hidden in the source of the HTML on the page.

You should contact your host about this if possible.

Seems like the host is fairly confused on what the problem could be. Any other ideas?

The problem is the limit on the amount of simultaneous connections.

If your host is struggling to understand that, you may want to consider switching hosts.
