Hey everyone, considering the size of the latest update, please be sure to check over the notes! I've tried to highlight/bold the most important points, specifically the new Color Palette system.

Again, for boards with heavy style customizations, you may experience some odd styling after upgrade, which can be fixed by reverting your changes.

If you're unsure, you can test the latest update and your active style first by doing the following:

1. Import the latest theme update as a new separate, hidden style
2. Go to Styles and Export your Active style, leaving the "Export as independent style" option unchecked. This will only export your active style with the customizations you have made.
3. Now, we can re-import your customized style as a copy under the new master theme, and safely check the appearance there.
4. Once everything looks ok, you can safely overwrite your original master theme with the latest update, and erase the new test styles you created.

Hello, i bought your theme yesterday and i really like it, however i'm not liking the images on the posts where it shows a picture in the background like "SEO" or "TROPHIES"

How can i take that off?

also, is there a way to change images on the message icon on each topic with your skin??

I believe you're referring to the Node Grid Backgrounds feature. That's an easy change! You can do this by going to:
Style Properties -> [Nulumia] Node Grid & Backgrounds -> uncheck the "Enable node backgrounds" checkbox

Thanks for your interest Paul,
So there's a few thoughts on light & dark themes in XF. Due to the color palette system, there's not many themes out there (to my knowledge) that allow instant-switching between modes. Styles tend to require individualized design to target light or dark.

However, as you noted I do provide a light and dark edition of this theme. The only issue with running both, is that you can run into problems with inheritance. Here's how you would normally do this:

• DarkTabbed (Parent DO NOT EDIT) <- upgrade only
  • DarkTabbed (your active/visible style) <- make customizations here
    • LightTabbed <- import the light child-style here which can run off of DarkTabbed
      • LightTabbed (active/visible light style)

While LightTabbed could be placed as a child-style of DarkTabbed successfully, it does contain pre-configured settings such as the slider, carousel items, node backgrounds etc. This will stop any settings you make above in DarkTabbed once they hit these customized properties.

Even if you were to revert these items so you'd only need to make your customizations once at the top level (as recommended), upgrading to a new version of LightTabbed would re-implement the preconfigured settings and you'd have to revert each time.

Due to advising several users on this lately, I personally feel running light & dark themes together can be more hassle than worth.

There is a minimal clean style in early development that's intended to switch via the front-end with a simple toggle, there's no release date planned yet.
