Customization of user block & custom add ons

Hi. I am considering using XenForo alongside my wordpress site. Can the user block area of a post be customized with additional data? For example, I would like to show the Wordpress user role inside of the XenForo user block profile area. What options/flexibility are available in regard to creating custom php mods/add-ons or editing templates with php?

It would be possible with custom development.

The amount of development is dependent on the data you want to insert and whether it's static, dynamic, from another system, etc.

When you say "Custom Development", does this mean it is technically feasible for a developer to implement -OR- that XenForo can provide custom development? I am a software developer and quite proficient with php so I would be developing / customizing myself. I just want to ensure that it is technically possible since XenForo is not opensource and I have no idea what the source looks like.
