Lack of interest Custom User Fields Viewable by User Groups

It would be nice if there were an option in the custom user fields to make them "hidden". Then, in the user group permissions, an option for specific user groups (staff, for instance) to be able to view those hidden user fields.

Sorry if this suggestion already exists. I looked, but couldn't find it.

I think you can already do this using basic conditionals in the templates.
I agree, it would be nice to have it as a selectable option on the ACP tho'.
