XF 2 Custom Plugin Request for XenForo: X (Twitter)-Style Social Wall

I'm looking for a developer who can build a custom plugin for XenForo that adds a social media-style wall (like X/Twitter). The goal is to create a modern, interactive social feed directly within the XenForo ecosystem.


Key Requirements:​


  1. Social Wall Interface (Main Feed)
    • The wall should mimic X/Twitter: each post displayed like a social media update (text, images, video, with like/comment/share buttons).
    • Users must be able to post directly from the wall, as if posting to a timeline.
    • Interactions should be visible: like counters, replies, reposts.
  2. Forum Post Integration
    • Forum threads or posts should also be shown on the wall.
    • These should be visually adapted to look like native social posts, maintaining the wall's uniform format.
  3. Core Features
    • Support for images, links, videos, and rich text.
    • Threaded comments.
    • Likes and reposts.
    • Integration with XenForo’s native notifications.
    • Ability to filter the feed by tags, categories, or users.
  4. Mobile-Friendly and Responsive
    • The design must be fully responsive and optimized for mobile usage.
  5. Compatibility
    • Must be compatible with my current XenForo version: [insert version here].
  6. Nice-to-Haves (Optional but Ideal)
    • Hashtag support.
    • User hover cards (show profile summary on hover).
    • Ability to pin posts.

I started to do something like this a few weeks ago. Don't even remember how far I got. But I maybe able to work what I have so far and your list together. I get a minute, I will look at closer. What XenForo version you have?

It's important to note that if you added hashtags, you would be adding another way of grouping threads and posts. more ways to do things, more confusing.

Does anyone remember the long thread that dealt with a more social media like feed ? Lots of people thought it was important, and this user wants to make one.

Latest Activity indeed is convoluted with things that people don't want to see. It's also chaotic visually. Latest Activity doesn't display New Posts. There is no feed of unread content that combines all content.

Just like XFMG has Entries and Comments, this is the same for many addons. It's actually inconsistent that there are no comments for resources.
Articles in Article Management System have Articles...
