XF 1.4 Custom Page CSS Issues - Urgent

Hello. I am having trouble fitting my HTML and CSS inbetween the Template. As you can see

the grey background is overrunning the header. Also, I don't want this dark grey background

as it doesn't fit my site's style. As you can also see my content is all squished and can't figure out why.

I'd like for the:
- background overrunning the header issue fixed
- background to be removed
- content to be fixed/adjusted
