XF 1.4 Creating cron to delete server errors

I have a server error with widget framework that causes me to get loads of server errors. Posted on that third party page.Its basically:

unexpected '<' - library/WidgetFramework/WidgetRenderer.php(498) : runtime-created function:1

and others have had the issue but does not look like everyone.

Anyway, to save me keep having to manually clear the logs, I am wondering if I can create a cron that deletes the logs after x number of days. Question is, what class etc settings do I need to enter to create?

It would require back end (PHP) code - are you familiar with writing PHP?

Personally I don't think it's a good idea to automatically prune the error log.
You would be better off trying to resolve the issue which causes the errors.
